After rejecting Pollan Bay for not having enough waves and a warning sign about rips we headed for Tullagh Bay. In hindsight it would have been perfect for my swim. Calm, clear beautiful.
But smaller children were demanding awesome waves like we’d experienced in Enniscrone yesterday. Alas it was not to be. We decided on Tullagh Bay where we kayaked and swam before the weather broke. There was a small amount of surf.
As I swam the heaven opened and a torrential downpour cleared the beach. I was warm and happily swimming. The sea got choppy and dark. I was sure I would be able to see the rain drops concentric ripple from underneath the sea but it was n’t so. Nice swim.
